I LOVE JEGGY AS A DRAGONBALL CHARACTER!
BEFORE WE START… NEON DREAMS 2 PROGRESS
Neon Dreams 2 line-art progress is going amazingly well. I have two work PCs running simultaneously: one for Stable Diffusion generations—since SD is a resource hog and steal all my VRAM—and one PC just for Photoshop.
I’m pretty much doing a page a day or line-art for Neon Dreams 2 and I’m almost done with the third of four scenes for the book. The fourth scene—featuring April O’Neil and Casey Jones from TMNT—will be ten pages. I’ll then do many 2-3 pages to wrap up the entire project. I should have the line-art done in a little over two weeks, then maybe two weeks to do all of the coloring/lettering.
Basically, Neon Dreams 2 should be finished right as I receive the funds from Kickstarter for the currently-running “Fatal Femmes: Bloodbath Edition” project.
LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT - JEGGY AS A DRAGONBALL CHARACTER?!
As a lark, I started thinking of images I could generate that weren’t photorealistic. See, one of the awesome aspects of learning how to use Stable Diffusion is how a single person can create images of any style imaginable whereas I as an artist can only really do one style: my own. That’s great and all, but I’ve always wanted to create certain images that no amount of training would allow me to create.
My favorite artists—especially in comics—pretty much do one thing and they’re great at it, but they can’t go beyond their own style. John Byrne does John Byrne art; Jim Lee does Jim Lee art; Alex Ross does Alex Ross art.
So, I thought, “Maybe I’ll do generations of Jeggy for the first time…” but I wanted her to be in some kind of unique cosplay. Then I thought, “Dragonball!” Well, Dragonball-esque. In a kind of similar art style to that, but mixed with 3D Pixar-esque flare.
So, I did up a few generations and was BLOWN AWAY. See, usually, when trying to make a character, maybe 40% of the generations will be acceptable. FOR WHATEVER REASON, something like 80% of the images I was generating were amazing. As Todd Howard would say, “It just works.”
So, "Great!”, I thought; I’ll generate a few and package them up into a tidy PDF, but then they kept being good, so as I was drawing Neon Dreams 2, I kept generating more.
After a few days of generating, I have OVER 700 IMAGES of Jeggy as a DBZ character! A good number of them are NSFW, but here are some SFW ones I can post here.
Note: Jeggy’s eyes are green, so I would go in and fix the ones that aren’t green in Photoshop before publishing the final PDF.
JEGGY IMAGE SET PREVIEW - COMING SOON TO SINNERMODELS.COM
I don’t know how to package these Jeggy DBZ images. I have them in various sets distinguished by setting:
DOJO
BEDROOM
DRAGONS
BEACH
STADIUM
CITY
CLASSROOM
GARDEN
STEAM ROOM
WATERFALL
VILLAGE
Most of the original images are around 1000x1200, but I upscaled them 4X and the quality is good to great. Definitely fine for viewing. So, all told there’s over 700 images total—and more being generated!
A PHYSICAL VERSION?
ALTHOUGH the first thing I’m doing is packaging these into some kind of PDF—maybe splitting them into 2-3 collections—the plan is to get a physical copy of some of the sets—at least for myself—and see if others want a copy, too.
I did the numbers and if I published a 180-page magazine (8.5”x11”), I’d have to charge $30-35 to make it make economic sense.
I’m putting together a campaign on Fundrazr specifically for Sinner Models Physical Magazines. I think it’ll be ready in about a week for those who want physical copies and don’t want to fudge around on Kickstarter looking for them.
